Peruvian hot chocolate

Thank you Rachel Canouse for sharing your recipe for homemade hot chocolate. You can adjust the amounts to be sweeter, thicker, more's totally up to you.

100% Cacoa Bar, or a semi-sweet chocolate bar, broken up

1 can evaporated milk

2 cinnamon sticks

5 cloves

2-3 cups water, or to taste

1 tsp vanilla

3 Tlbs sugar, or to taste

Heat water, cinnamon sticks and cloves in a small saucepan. Boil for a few minutes, then add the chocolate a ladle full at a time. Continue adding chocolate and stir until melted. Slowly add the milk, vanilla & sugar. Stir well, and remove cinnamon sticks & cloves. Serve warm.
